HVAC Duct Cleaning

Air Conditioning & Mold Control Solutions (“ACMCS”) uses the Rotobrush® system of cleaning HVAC ducts. HVAC is a common acronym for Heating, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning systems. What is so great about Rotobrush®? The ability to clean all kinds of ductwork, sheet metal, flex duct and duct board, without damage! And moreover, the system provides for visual monitoring that can be recorded to show our customers the true condition of the ductwork. True air quality begins with a clean air handler, clean coil, fan and then ductwork. It is a system; all parts must be cleaned, nothing can be left out. First - When all the air entering the air handler is completely filtered, and condensate water is properly discharged from the unit, contaminants or pollutants will be limited and your system will remain cleaner, longer.

Allergen & Microbial Cleansing

“According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 60% of Indoor Air Quality problems may be mold related.”  Quotation from Air Conditioning and Refrigeration News, “A Cure For the Dreaded Dirty Socks Syndrome” April 5, 1999, pp 24-25.

Unhealthy conditions in the HVAC system may result in:

    1. Generation of molds (Fungi) and bacteria eating dust and debris.
    2. Distribution of mold, mold spores, toxins and bacteria into the house air.
    3. Allergic reactions; such as, respiratory issues, headaches, sneezing, etc.

HVAC Duct and Air Handler Cleaning and Sanitizing

Your ductwork distributes and collects air particles (particulates). Some of these particulates are so small that standard filters cannot capture them and they pass to the coil and ductwork. Over a period of time, organisms develop to eat the collected debris. These organisms cause allergic reactions in humans and animals. Cleaning your duct system (including the air handler and plenum as well as the ductwork) removes the debris causing allergens and greatly relieves symptoms such as runny nose, headaches, and sinus congestion. Rotobrush® equipment agitates the dust and vacuums it into the hose using negative air and collects it into a container while the air is filtered using a High Efficiency Particulate Air filter (HEPA); NOT into your indoor air.

This is The Hard Part!

Only a Florida Certified Air Conditioning Contractor should be used to perform this task. ASMCS A) cleans and sanitizes the Air Handler by cleaning the fan blades and motor. B) The coil is cleaned in-place or removed (if necessary) to eliminate debris and microbial growth; thus allowing the machine to run more efficiently. C) The inside of the air handler cabinet is hand-wiped with a sanitizer.  For air handlers that are extremely filthy and the return/supply air plenum(s) is contaminated or damaged (especially by water), ACMCS is qualified to perform the ultimate IAQ protocol that demands pumping down the refrigerant, removal of the air handler to the outdoors, replacement of the plenum(s), and perform a full cleaning and sanitizing of the unit, even replace the internal cabinet insulation; then re-install the unit into place and check operation.

Now – The entire system is clean and ready for sanitizing. We have 3 levels of product available. The products range from Inhibitor, to Sanitizer or even Sterilant!  Fungicides/Inhibitors (inhibit growth or destroy fungus on inanimate surfaces only); Sanitizers (reduce microbial contaminants (mold and bacteria) up to 99.9%) and Sterilants (100% kill). We also have organic sanitizers upon request. If Sanitizer or greater is used, the Client must be willing to leave their home for about 2 hours. Clean ducts! - Clean Air Handler!! - Clean Air!!!

We begin by:
